Stephanie and Andy are MARRIED
February was a fun month for Buds & Blooms…thanks to Stephanie and Andy and another lovely couple (but we will get to them another day).
Stephanie (and Andy, I’m sure) had an incredible vision for their wedding day! And I believe it turned out just as they hoped and prayed. Here are a few of our favorite shots capturing the beauty of the day.
The beautiful bride herself…
The lovely wedding party…the dresses and suits were a perfect pick.
Cinnamon sticks were used as a little touch throughout the entire event. I loved that they were in the bouts too!
The reception had a lovely vintage feel with just a touch of rustic. Stephanie collected a variety of vintage vases, so each table looked a bit different. The centerpieces were placed over a vintage doily, a vase or tea pot filled with flowers, a pillar candle, and finished off with seed pods or pine cones.
And the ceremony was simple, but full of color! Loved the bougainvillea on the arch!
Congratulations Stephanie and Andy! We were so blessed to be part of your special day! You are a stunning couple! Thank you!

Catie and Ben are MARRIED
We absolutely loved being able to be a part of Catie and Ben’s wedding day! Congrats Catie and Ben, we couldn’t be happier for you!
Forgive my absence from the blog! I have been a little busy with this precious little girl! She is now 7 weeks old and a complete love!
But Buds & Blooms is back up and running and I couldn’t be more excited about our fabulous weddings for the rest of the year!
this past weekend
This past weekend, I have the privilege to design the flowers for Katie and David! I haven’t been able to get the professional photos from the weekend, but I couldn’t help but share some shots I got with my iphone!!
The wedding was held outside at the Bali Hai here in San Diego and the reception was in the outdoor pavilion. This was my first wedding at the Bali Hai and I was very impressed with all of the staff and the venue as a whole.
So, here are just a few shots of the Hawaiian feel that Katie dreamed up. The purple/fuchsia was a fabulous look for this venue!
Katie and David picked a gorgeous venue and the wedding was out along the water on Shelter Island…
We dressed up the bamboo alter with a little ivory chiffon and two arrangements of orchids.
The girls wore grey dresses and had purple orchid (with a little pop of white) bouquets. Here is a shot of all of the bouquets bundled and ready for delivery, so you can’t see each one, but I just fell in love with the mixture of flowers…
Katie chose two different centerpieces, one was all tall glasses with submerged orchids and floating candles and the other was a tall spray arrangement with curly willow and bombay dendrobium orchids, which was then surrounded by 3 small arrangements of hydrangeas at the table top…
And lastly…for now…the cake! To be honest, placing flowers on cakes makes me very nervous, but this one turned out just fabulous…
Everything is so timeless and stunning! I obviously loved Katie’s taste and she was such a joy to work with! I’ll post the professional photos when I get them cause I know you would love to see what Katie and David looked like on their wedding day!!
